Upcoming Showdown at Sundown marks end to '11-'12 SnoX season
Local racers that have qualified from the Minnesota Regional SnoX affiliate are Brandon Herheim and Evan Daudt to compete in the Sport Class; Cody Daudt and Evan Daudt to compete in the 16-17 Class; Tyler Daudt and Cody Daudt to compete in the 14-15 Class.
Points are earned each weekend of racing. Racers run heat races, earning points and hoping to earn a position in the final race. The racers that do not qualify for the Final during the heat races have one additional chance in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) race. No points are earned in the LCQ, but a win will give them a back row start in the Final race. The first racer to cross the finish line earns the most points. Each of the following racers will earn one point less than the racer ahead of them. Some of the Classes have point battles that change each week while other Classes have a racer that takes the lead and never looks back. When a racer continues to be successful in their Class, it is time to consider moving up to the next Class. Racers can petition to move up a Class, but can never compete in a Class which is designed for younger racers.[[In-content Ad]]
