Yes, spring is finally approaching along with dreams of warmer weather, colorful flowers and summer vegetables. The Petal Pushers Garden Club of Longville invites the ladies of the community to attend their next meeting on Tuesday, April 29.

Following a brief meeting, the club will be treated to a presentation by Terry Mejdrich our local honey bee expert. An author and former science teacher, Terry will share his expertise regarding the importance of bees to our summer flower and vegetable gardens. Most of us learned a little about bees in science class but that was years ago. Today, bees are declining and they face more challenges than ever. But we can learn about these challenges and make a difference.

Petal Pushers is a women's volunteer organization. Its mission is to provide service to the community, promoting civic beauty and horticulture education. Let's learn together.

Please join us at the Common Grounds at 11:30 a.m. on April 29. There will be a charge for a light lunch. Seating is limited. If interested in attending please call Jan Carpenter at 566-3232 to reserve a space.[[In-content Ad]]
