The Sting of Stings!

To the Editor,

Recently the democrats released an ad depicting a republican congressman rolling an elderly lady of a cliff to create an illusion of how heartless the republicans are. The word allusion means: an expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly.

I also find it dishonest that the liberal likes to quote a poll that asks the question, "do you like your Social Security and Medicare programs." And the surveys will always show that the majority does too the pleasure of the liberal's advantage! But, if you are alert enough to see... the following question that should be asked is, "who doesn't like a program that gives you back more than what you paid in?"

The best case in this point wasn't made recently... it was made on the very first monthly check issued by the Social Security program which should have been a clue to it's inevitable problems we have today and expose the political prowess to deceive of the modern liberal democrat.

The first monthly payment was issued on January 31, 1940 to Ida May Fuller of Ludlow, Vermont. In 1937, 1938 and 1939 she paid a total of $24.75 into the Social Security System. Her first check was for $22.54. After her second check, Fuller already had received more than she contributed over the three-year period. She lived to be 100 and collected a total of $22,888.92.

There is a cause and effect with everything the liberal politician does. One... the cause the liberal puts forth is perceived as noble and or compassionate. Two... the effect is that it creates the political circumstance (the illusion) that gets them re-elected. All at the taxpayer's expense and more recently and more appalling is to the detriment of our children... the national debt! How compassionate is it to leaving debt to our children, our posterity... not to mention the trashing of the constitution?

I emphasize the liberal's motivation is to get "re-elected" more so than their, "illusion" of compassion! If any of you have ever seen the movie "The Sting" the art and success of a sting is to make it look like it was totally natural and unplanned. What kind of an illusion is it to make by being compassionate with someone else's money? Shouldn't compassion be defined as reaching into your own pocket instead of others?

What kind of compassion is it when the end produced is wasteful spending, government agencies creating laws on their own out side of the constitutions mandate that they be legislated, and someone who wins the lottery can still draw food stamps? Everything that I have just pointed out proves that government is not capable of compassion, but the liberal has created that illusion!

Compassion is a personal individual character trait that builds a good in the people that the liberal has cheated this nation out of by emphasizing government intrusion and we are worse off for it!

The modern liberal has created in the last century a government that is to their political empowerment a base of voters dependent on them through government entitlements and employment. The modern liberal has made the problems we have today because they want the power and position more than they care about our overall well being. Mark Dayton's veto of Minnesota's budget is nothing more than an attempt to forage more for his voter base than compassion or concern for a prosperous healthy private sector employment base whose votes he may not be able to buy!
