That's my flag

To the Editor,

I am not a political activist, nor am I a racist. I am only an American citizen who is proud to say he fought for his country when it called on him to do so, and not ashamed to say I got tears in my eyes when I read an e-mail I got the other day. I wonder how many of you have seen it?

It begins with pictures taken July 3rd at the State Capitol in Phoenix, Ariz., of the American Flag and the Arizona State Flag, on the ground being desecrated by a group of Mexicans, both illegals and citizens. They were walking on them, sitting on them, spitting on them, burning holes in them and writing all over them. Standing guard over this horrifying spectacle was the Capitol Police and the Homeland Security. Not to protect our precious Flag, but to stop anyone who dared to interfere with this Mexican Conclave. One soldier, who was returned from Iraq, was thrown to the ground by the Police and Homeland Security for trying to rescue the Flag from these "protestors." Anyone who attempted to pick up the Flag was threatened to be booked under Federal charges.[[In-content Ad]]

What's wrong with this picture?

What's wrong with our leadership?

Where was the governor?

Where was Sheriff Joe?

Where was the National Guard?

What's happening to this country?

Is anyone else out there tormented by these events?

It is time all of us who love this country, and want it back the way it used to be, to stand up and be counted. Tell your lawmakers we have had enough.

This never even made the nationals news. Why? If it had been the Koran they were desecrating, it would have been the other way around. Again, what is wrong with this picture?

If it is time to re-fight The Alamo, I for one am ready to go! I hope I am not alone.
