Susan Jean DeLano, age 69, of Remer, MN, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018.

Susan was born on May 26, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Dorothy (Clay) Manns. It was in this same area that she grew up and attended school. Susan was contemplating becoming a nun when she met Steve DeLano which changed the course of her life. They were united in marriage on a beautiful summer day in July in Union City, MI. She worked at WUHQ-TV 41 in Battle Creek, MI for many years before opening her own computer repair business. They moved to Williams, MN in 2002 where she worked at the Baudette Car Proving Grounds. Due to health issues they moved to the Remer area in 2010.

Susan loved being out in nature. She looked forward to the fishing opener each year and spent countless hours on the Rainy River fishing with Steve. She was an avid gardener and could be found on her deck on warm summer mornings with a cup of coffee watching her morning glories open. Susan was an animal lover and shared her home with many dogs and cats over the years. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Remer.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Steven and the many friends she made over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Gerri and Patty.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Longville, MN with visitation held one hour prior to the service at the church.
