Stupidity occupied
To the Editor,
There are some lessons in life that should be taught by the age of five and one of those is, "life is not fair." Yet we live in a time where fairness is a word least understood, in fact it is misused and considered synonymous with envy. Fairness is correctly defined as a multifaceted virtue. It is now being construed and used as a political grudge... from a virtue to a vice. To be a progressive is to instill a grudge against those who are more successful. When you see how long progressive ideas have been around you will understand how long stupidity has been occupied.
The best any government can offer the citizen is equality of rights... the unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I also recall hearing these words by the impressionable age of five.
I would like to improvise the phrase, "pursuit of happiness." Meaning... if you want happiness it is your responsibility to obtain it don't expect someone else to give it to you. If you find the pursuit of happiness difficult it is because of excessive regulations, defective and inadequate education and your own gullible stupidity.
What we need in this country is for the citizens whose minds are occupied with the vice of envy to stop and think just how stupid and unproductive it really is. I for one would not hire someone with a grudge against me as an employer.
When one political faction occupies both our government agencies and our public school systems, the stupidity you see occupying the streets is pandemic.[[In-content Ad]]
