REMER - Sophie Mathilda ( Livgard Winger) Diedrich age 93 of Remer formerly of Emily died October 17, 2010 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on July 1, 1917 in Remer to George and Ethel (Hart) Livgard. She married Albert J. Winger in 1935 in Remer and then married Franklin Michael Diedrich in 1977 in Emily.

She was a member of St. Emily's Catholic Church in Emily; the Outing Senior Citizens; Washburn Lake Card Club and Land O' Lakes Legion Auxiliary, Post 316, Emily.

Survivors included children, Arthur "Nick" (Kathy) Winger, Remer; twins, David Winger, Remer and Doris Mae (Gerald) Gilmer of Ham Lake, and Ethel (Pat) O'Neal of LaVista, Neb; Sisters, Scenia (Roland) Winger of Remer, Shirley Waddell of Kettering , Ohio; seven grandchildren, Sheilia St. Hilaire, Gerald Gillmer II, Roric Gillmer, Nicole Watts, Shannon Casey Courtney O'Neal, and Bradley Winger, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, 1st husband, Albert J. Winger and 2nd husband, Franklin Diedrich and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be 11 am on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at St. Emily's Catholic Church in Emily. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Remer. Friends may call on Wednesday 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.[[In-content Ad]]
