Sharon Marie Wilson, 80, of Hackensack, MN, died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center in Pine River, MN.

Sharon was born to John and Rose (Stachowiak) Froegel on February 9, 1935 in Ivanhoe, MN, where she grew up and graduated from high school. In 1958, she married Merle Wilson in Minneapolis, MN. Sharon worked as a telephone operator.

Favorite pastimes were sewing, photography, bowling and travel including destinations around the 48 states, as well as to Rome, Alaska, and Hawaii. Sharon especially loved living on the family compound at Wilson Point on Woman Lake, and spending time with family. She was a lifelong member of the Park Rapids American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed raising the American flag. She was particularly proud that all of her children attained the highest award in scouting.

Surviving Sharon are her husband, Merle; daughter, Rose Clack; sons, Mike Wilson, Tim Wilson, and Rich Wilson; 10 grandchildren; and sister, Shirley.

Preceding her in death were brothers, David and Gerald.

Visitation for friends and family was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Longville, MN. Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hackensack, MN with Fr. Francis Kabiiru officiating. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Longville, Minnesota.
