BOY RIVER - Sharon Jeanette (Kloehn) Peterson, age 67, of Boy River, Minn., passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011, in Duluth, Minn.

Sharon was born Dec 8, 1943 to Gustav and Marie Kloehn in Bismarck, N.D. As a child she moved with her family to Boy River. She graduated from Boy River High School. She married Steve Peterson February 22, 1963. Early in their marriage they lived in Owatonna, Minn., and later in Forbes, Minn. After Steve's retirement they moved back to Boy River and built their home.

Sharon Enjoyed watching birds, gardening, doing crosswords, visiting with friends and neighbors and spending time with her family.

She is survived by: he children Sheila (Kirk) Helmberger, of Brainerd, Minn, Steven (Becky) Peterson, of Bemidji, Minn., Scott (Tonya) Peterson, of Boy River; grandchildren Kayla, Kristi, Kyle, Ben, Amy, Katie, Halie and Holie.; brothers

Reuben, Ernest, Lawrence and Raymond; sisters Shirley and Arlene; foster brother and sister, Duane Oberford, and Darla Holmgren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Steve; parents; brothers Harry, Fredrick and Duane; and sisters Leona and Beverly.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday September 10, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church, in Boy

River, with visitation held one hour prior to the service.
