Second Chance Thrift Store closing

To the Editor,

By Sincerely, Michelle Tessin Family Center Director- | Comments: 0 | Leave a comment

It is with great regret and disappointment Northland Area Family Center announces the closing of A Second Chance Thrift Store in Remer. We had hoped that the renewed interest garnered a few weeks ago would revitalize sales and make the store viable. While sales have improved slightly, there is not enough to guarantee even a break-even point for the winter.

A Second Chance was a venture that was to enhance Family Center programs and decrease our reliance on grants. Staying open would take away from our programs instead of building our programs. On behalf of the Family Council and staff, I would like to thank all of those who volunteered countless hours, donated so many beautiful items and were faithful shoppers.

The last day of business will be October 27th with sales to clear as much inventory as possible the final two weeks. I would encourage all those who have items to donate to bring them to Tossed and Found Boutique ( a program of the Family Center) in Longville at 4837 State Hwy 84 NE.[[In-content Ad]]
