Schools equate to workforce

Once again I see a flurry of words swirl around the issue of funding for our local school, and I wonder if the participants in this controversy are missing the central point. It is not whether we need more money for the immediate agenda, but rather, whether we wish to preserve our communities that preserve us. If we do not fund the school, it may cease to exist, and with its demise, the magnet that draws young families to this area, for they will not come here if they cannot school their children. These are the families that provide the workforce that is our very preservation and survival, since they comprise all of the employees that sustain the essential services necessary to our daily needs. Remember, they are the ones who man the grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants and other local businesses. Lose the school and you lose those young families who are those employees - Lose those employees and how will the older people of our communities fare without them?

Remember - if you don't agree with the way the current Board runs the school, the solution is to replace the Board, not destroy the school. If you don't want to vote in favor of the needs of the children, then at least vote in favor of retaining the school for your own personal daily needs.[[In-content Ad]]
