School supply collection
To the Editor,
Typical supplies that are needed are: Backpacks, wide line spiral notebook and narrow lined notebooks, 3 and 5 subject notebooks, #2 pencils and mechanical pencils, pink and white erasers, small pencil sharpeners, eraser tops; black/blue/red pens; crayons, washable colored markers both regular and dry erase markers, and black Sharpies, skinny colored markers, highlighters, colored pencils, scissors, glue sticks/glue bottles, rulers-inches and centimeters, reams of computer paper, tissues, zipper storage bags - large and small; plastic pencil boxes; book covers; inexpensive head phones, pocketed folders, different colors, plastic pocketed notebooks with center clasps; tape, loose-leaf notebook, paper wide and narrow, alculators - scientific and regular, pocket dictionary and thesaurus, composition notebooks, correction fluid, 1-inch 3-ring binders, subject dividers, stapler and remover, protractor.
Monetary donations would also be accepted and used towards the purchase of these items. Please indicate that the donation is to be used for back to school supplies. The items collected will be distributed to the children through the Emily-Outing Fifty Lakes Area Food Shelf.
