School for adults?
To the Editor,
Are you thinking about going to college after being out of high school for awhile? Would you like to improve your reading skills so you can read to your young ones? Are you having trouble understanding your kids' algebra homework? Come on in and get help brushing up on your skills.
For those of you who would like to get your GED, ABE is the place for you. The GED is changing in 2014 and will be totally computerized. If you'd prefer to take the current written version, you should start preparing now. At ABE we have books, practice tests and a special calculator to help you prepare for the GED in a stress-free environment.
ABE is one of the many services available through the Northland Area Family Service Center now located in Remer at 320 Eagle Avenue. Take a left off Hwy 200 on the first road to the east of the school and go all the way to the end to our beautiful new setting.
Starting September 25th, ABE classes will be held at the Family Center on Tuesdays from noon to 3:00 and Wednesdays from 4:00 to 7:00. The classes are FREE and very flexible. You decide what you'd like to work on and for how long. Please call the Family Center at 566-3636 for more information and to register.
So if you've been thinking about making some changes, give us a call and start working on your goals. We have a lot to offer. There's one more good thing about ABE: your parents don't have to sign your report card!
Next week: It's the end of the GED as we know it.[[In-content Ad]]
