Ronald J. Salonek, 71, of Swatara, MN, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 in Evergreen Terrace, Grand Rapids, MN. He was born January 8, 1944 in Montrose, MN to Phillip and Gertrude (Ceryes) Salonek. Ronald graduated from Delano High School, Delano, MN. He retired in 2003. He enjoyed softball and loved the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Salonek; and sister, Jane Cardinal.

Ronald is survived by his significant other of 14 years, LaDonna Thurlby of Swatara, MN; children, JoAnn (Ronald) Lewis of St. Louis Park, MN, Linda (Sue) Salonek of Woodbury, MN, Mary (Chris) Grimm of Edgewater, MD, John (Miling) Salonek of Orlando, FL, Thomas (Sherri) Salonek of De-Pere, WI, Sandi (Nicholas) Weinand of Coon Rapids, MN; brother, Richard (Donna) Salonek of Winsted, MN; sisters, Rose Henning of Waverly, MN, Betty (Jan) Farrel of Montrose, MN, Patty (Richard) Meier of Watertown, MN; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; LaDonna's children, Craig Thurlby, Redgenia (Chuck) Leone, Kyle Thurlby all of Swatera, MN
