Robert was born September 11, 1953 in Shakopee, Minnesota, to Walt Schroers and Laila (Babatz) Mieseler. He met the love of his life, Ellen F. Wheeler, in 8th grade and knew he would marry her one day. The couple was united in marriage on March 24, 1973 in Longville, Minnesota, and they were blessed with two children, Shawn and Michelle.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, especially alongside his son, Shawn and his sidekick, Randy Benson. His family was very important to him and he spent weekends four-wheeling and three-wheeling with his grandchildren. Robert loved rock music and attending concerts, and he was a wrestling fanatic. While Robert will be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him, his family is thankful that he is no longer in pain and is once again with his beloved wife.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his soulmate, Ellen; and brothers, Ken Mieseler, Walt Schroers, and Ken Schroers.
He is survived by his son, Shawn Mieseler of Remer, MN; daughter, Michelle (Mitch) Mehrer of Detroit Lakes, MN; 11 grandchildren; sister, Mary (Schroers) Herman; brothers, Clarence Mieseler, and Allen Schroers; and many other friends and relatives.
While there will be no official service, Robert will live on in the memories of those he loved, and those who loved him.
