Robert Edward Rhoades, 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Remer, Minnesota on Sept. 23, 2018.

Robert (Bob) was born, in Deer Creek Minnesota on July 17, 1932 to Ernest and Anne (Allworth) Rhoades. He lived in Deer Creek for a while, then moved to Minneapolis, living there until he joined the Air Force. Bob met Juanita at the Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico, where she was a waitress. They were married March 8, 1952, living in Roswell, New Mexico for another year before moving Juanita back to Deer Creek to be with his family while he finished his Air Force career in Alaska. After returning from Alaska, he and Juanita settled in Dayton, Minnesota, where he was a painter and contractor. In 1991, they moved to their current home in Remer, Minnesota. Bob and Juanita were married for 64 years and had four children, Bob, Patty, Debbie and Kenny. He loved being outside, watching the deer, feeding the birds and just enjoying his yard. He enjoyed his collection of old toys, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend.

Bob and Juanita are together forever now.... (their hearts were ready to meet again, but ours were not).

Bob was preceded in passing by his wife, Juanita and his parents; Ernest and Anne. He is survived by his son; Robert Rhoades, Jr. of St. Cloud, MN, grandchildren; Nicole (Ryan) and Daniel (Jenn), son; Kenneth Rhoades of Anoka, MN, daughter; Patty Lange and husband Mark of Longville, MN, grandchildren; Jessica (John), Nathan (Lori) and Amanda, daughter; Debbie Stephani and husband Allen of Clearlake, MN, grandchildren; Jennifer, Kjersten (Tanner) and Kayla, 17 great grandchildren, sister; Teresa of Wadena and brother; Richard of Parkers Prairie.

Bobs family would like to say thank you for all the support, thoughts and prayers during this time. We will always remember him for the auctions he went to and his love for collectibles and rocks.

A celebration of Bobs life will be held Saturday, October 6th, from 12-3:00 p.m. at Northland Monument, 2601 State 200 NE, Remer, MN. Please join us for lunch and sharing of your memories.

He will be missed by many.
