Response to Schultz's letter
To the Editor,
I don't think Mr. Zimmer is in the minority. I think you are trying to convince yourselves that we are naive enough to believe that you have the country's welfare at hand. Your party's main objective is to prevent anything the president wants to do to try and make him look bad before the next election. You don't know the meaning of compromise. It is your way or nothing.
Since the 2000 election, the wealth hasn't trickled down. It has gushed up. The middle class has remained stagnant or declined while the extreme rich now own the vast majority of wealth in the country. The majority of jobs they have created are overseas so they can make bigger profits. They are a small, greedy, unpatriotic group that now controls the government. They don't care how the country suffers as long as they get more. How dare you attempt to make cuts in Social Security, Medicare, education and social services so their wealth can grow even more. The rich want to enjoy the resources this country offers, they just don't want to pay their fair share to keep it healthy.
