Paula graduated from St. Margaret's High School with the class of 1956.
On August 9, 1958, Paula Schwab and Dennis Yerxa were united in Holy Matrimony at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in North Minneapolis. The two were blessed with five children.
Paula was a faithful Catholic who was very active with Christian Mother's at St. Albert's Catholic Church in Albertville and taught CCD classes. Paula was also very active with the STMA youth hockey program and drove the school bus in the St. Michael-Albertville District for 17 years. She enjoyed golfing and was part of the women's league at Ridgewood Golf Course in Longville, gardening and tending to her flowers, and time spent with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Severa Schwab; and siblings, Charles, Charlotte, Thomas.
Paula is survived by her husband, Dennis Yerxa; children, Kelly (Mike) Ende Brunelle, Jill (Daryl) Hackenmueller, Lisa (Mike) Friendshuh, Christopher Yerxa, Thomas (Nancy) Yerxa; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Sandra Anderson; and many other loving family and friends.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at St. Albert's Catholic Church in Albertville with Father Peter Richards as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Albert's Cemetery in Albertville. A luncheon will follow the burial in the Parish Center in Albertville.
