The fiscal cliff of this nation is approaching once again coinciding with the Ids of March. Our nation's soul and financial strength is on the line and time is running out. The Roman Empire ended the same way. They collapsed under too much government and their money went from gold and silver to cheap metals.

Roman currency for most of Roman history consisted of gold, silver, brass, and copper coinage. From its introduction to the Republic, during the third century BC, well into Imperial times, Roman currency has seen many changes in form, domination, and composition. A persistent feature was the inflationary debasement and replacement of coins over the centuries. Like the Romans, the Democrat's Keynesian economic experiment of fiat currency has finally spent itself into the ground the same way. This shows you how well-read and intelligent the Democrats really are. Their ignorance of history is no excuse. After all, their claim to fame is to be our nation's educators.

The Republican Party is going to have to get a clue.

The form of our Federal government today is that of a "Democracy." Republicans are supposed to be the advocates for a "Republic" form of government. Our Founding Fathers declared our form of government as a Republic. The Minnesota State Constitution guarantees a Republic form of Government. So... does anybody in the Republican Party realize they are Republicans trying to function in a democracy?

The rules that made this nation a democracy were made Constitutional a century ago. Those rules are the 16th and 17th Amendments not to mention the Federal Reserve Banking system to finance the promises Democrats today cannot keep. All this accomplished in 1913 by the Democrats and the Republicans can't find their keisters with both hands.

The 16th Amendment created the progressive tax code. The Republicans have for years now talked a "flat tax" but never have considered repealing the 16th Amendment which must be done first, but the Republicans don't have the guts to even start the process.

The 17th Amendment made the once state appointed Senators to the Federal government now directly elected by the people of the states. This must also be repealed. Again the Republicans don't have the guts to start the process. A Republic form of government is a delicate balance of power between the people and the government which the Democrats have perverted and destroyed to their advantage.

The Democrats promised a century ago a "New Freedom" and a "New Deal" and the people fell for it. The Federal Reserve Bank is now printing money out of control trying to pay for all the promises made by the Democrats. Democracy as John Adams stated will commit suicide and is doing so as you are reading this letter to this editor. What are the Republicans going to do about the failures of the Democrats?

Do the Republicans even realize what has happened to this country? Since 1913 the Constitution and all of education the progressive democrats have been in charge of... that is a fact. Democrat President Woodrow Wilson implemented all of it.

Republicans are going to have to realize if they want their Republic back they are going to have to place this state's and the nation's problems squarely on the heads of the Democrats because it is the system Democrats designed and implemented a century ago.

Massive central planning does not work and the current system must be dismantled and scraped and our Republic restored and the 10th Amendment dusted off. Education must be changed to teaching self-governance. The National debt and all debt must be written down because there is nothing behind the Federal Reserve currency, it is completely fraudulent. The whole system of democracy needs to be re-booted to the Republic form of government or we are all finished as a nation. The Democrats are tyrannical radicals hungry for central control and power over all things including our health that is obvious.

The Democrats have made promises they cannot keep because the people don't have the money to pay for their own way let alone that of a Democrat utopian society. Don't expect the Democrats to admit they are in fact delusional and failures who believe that wealth can be printed into existence just as the Romans did.

These are the facts to set what could be the final American historic record straight. The Democrats are to blame for where we are today. Now it is up to the Republicans to get a clue and a back-bone or we are finished.
