Opinion from a Student

To the Editor,

By Dakota Carstens, NHS Student- | Comments: 0 | Leave a comment

"Eagle pride, school wide" - a phrase used so much and by so many. But what does it mean? To me, it means that no matter what, I will defend my school. I will support my school. I will say it loud and proud that I am from Northland High School in Remer, MN. I will show kindness to others, respect, responsibility, and safety to the best of my ability just as I and many others at Northland have been taught - characteristics that will be used throughout my whole life. I owe my future to Northland. This school and my parents are who have made me the person I am today. I will thank them when I graduate and even after. School isn't always easy but the kids and the teachers at Remer have helped me with so much, and not just me, but many others too. I know so many people who have a bond with this school that can't be described. I know that when I leave I will miss everyone there, but I will be grateful for having gone here. Maybe Remer isn't the greatest school in the world to others, but to many of the people who go there, it is. Everyone has the right to their opinion but don't let your opinion get in the way of the education of the future. Think of the kids who still go there and the many more to come. Take this in consideration as this all came from my heart because Northland Community Schools means so much to me and many others.
