The Ridgewood Senior Men's Golf League saw a single stroke separate its top two teams Tuesday.

First place net team, went by a stroke at 186 to: Jerry Varner, 66; Mike Newton, 66; Steve Heine, 67 and Bob Kohanek, 74.

A stroke back, in second place, at 187, was the team of Chuck Bowman, 66; Bruce Black, 69; Paul Olsen, 69; and Buzz Francen, 70.



Third place at 193 was won by Gary Scherer, 67; Kenny Schleif, 70; arlowe Kottke, 71; and Chuck Tralle, 75.

The fourth place team at 195 went to Mark Eidenschink, 68; Danny Divot, 68; Dave Owen, 71; and Wally Wallman, 73.



Fifth place was offered a three-way tie at 199: Dale Hillstrom, 71; John Verly, 71; Geoff Harrison, 74; and Connor Galvin, 78 - 199, tied with the team of Mark Houghton, 69; Bob Berg, 72; Bill Murray, 73; and Harold Cook, 73 - 199, and the team of Harland Johnson, 65; Terry Paul, 72; Ed Conway, 78; and Bill Herrick, 81 - 199.

The 10 Best Gross Scores were Jerry Varner, 79; Wally Wallman, 82; Bob Seemann, 85; Steve Plante, 86; Bruce Black, 87; Mark Houghton, 88; Mike Newton, 88; Greig Payne, 88; Chuck Bowman, 89; Kenny Schleif, 89; and Bob Veilleux, 89.



The 10 Best Net Scores went to Harland Johson, 92-27=65; Jerry Varner, 79-13=66; Mike Newton, 88-22=66; Chuck Bowman, 89-23=66; Steve Heine, 101-34=67; Gary Scherer, 104-37=67; Bob Seemann, 85-17=68; Mark Eidenschink, 90-22=68; Bob Savre, 94-26=68; Bruck Black, 87-18=69; Mark Houghton, 88-19-=69; Ken Sausman, 97-28=69; Chuck Senst, 100-31=69; Paul Olsen, 103-34=69.

Some 57 players competed in day's activities. Closest to the pin on No. 17 went to Bruce Black at 10'-11". Longest Putt on No. 9 went to Steve Johnson and Longest Putt on No. 11 went to Jerry Varner.

Chip-ins were recorded by Bob Timmins, Bob Savre, Bob Veilleux, Steve Johnson, Denny Yerxa, Jerry Varner, Steve Heine, Chuck Tralle, Ron Botten and John Peterson.
