Northland Eagles split two in recent action
"This was a big win both in the section and the conference for us" stated coach Chris Carlson. "We made the plays we needed to down the stretch."
Alec Wake was the only player in double figures with 15 in the low scoring affair. Carson Johnson and Harris Carlson were both tough on the boards with 11 and 10 respectively.
The Eagles looked to extend their winning streak to five against Southridge in another section contest, but the Panther's size was too much for the young Eagles team, falling 91-62. Facing a front line of 6'-8", 6'-6", and 6'-3" the Eagles struggled to rebound or get any shots inside the three point line. Northland did manage to hit 16 three pointers to keep the game close for a while, but in the end, the size of the Panthers was too much.
Alec Wake led the way in scoring with 19 points including five 3-pointers. Cameron Wake scored all of his 18 points on six 3-pointers and added eight rebounds and four assists. Nolan Carlson put in 10 points to round out the Eagles in double-figures. The Eagles face Cherry on Tuesday in Remer.[[In-content Ad]]
