Norm served in the military, the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. After his military retirement he and Lois ran Norm's Repair and The Pit Stop in Longville. They also spent time traveling the U.S. in their motor-home. They settled in South Texas where they managed Harvey's courts and RV Park. Norm was also known as "Captain Norm". He chartered bay fishing trips in the Gulf of Mexico from Jimmy's Marina, Port Isabel, TX.
Norm will be remembered for his nickname "Stormin Norman"-he was stern and outspoken, in a loving way. He was the life of the party; he always had a joke or story to tell. His fondest memories were spending time with his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren and friends in the great outdoors. He had wonderful memories of traveling, snowmobiling, camping, hunting and fishing trips.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. His ashes will be spread over Lois' in Wyoming, in the mountains where they shared so many memories.
Norm is survived by his (7) children: Melinda Zahrowski (Alex) of Evansville, WY; Kathy Brown of Denver, CO; Steve Hanson (Shelly) of Longville, MN; Ron Hanson (Sheri) of Spokane, WA; Susie Workman of Plano, TX; Debbie Morris (Cary) of Buffalo, WY; John Hanson (Sandy) of McKinney, TX; 14 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
