Monica Lee Hobbs was magnificently welcomed into Heaven, Oct. 8, 2015. She was born to Steve & Dolores Butala on Jan. 19, 1952 in Perth Amboy, NJ. After graduating from Perth Amboy High School in 1969 she furthered her education with a degree in Preschool Education from Montclair State University.

Monica and J. Thomas Hobbs were married in 1979 and relocated to Lake Placid, FL where they lived a full life of love for each other until her passing.

Before becoming a devoted caretaker to her mother, Monica pursued her next passion. She was a self-taught chef and successful caterer because of her life-long love of entertaining. But it was her relationship with Jesus Christ that defined the path she would take next, that of becoming a full-time caretaker of her husband. She remained devoted to him as well as staying active in her church, teaching Sunday School to the children.

Monica is survived by her husband Tommy, her loving sister Phyllis Eck and mother Dolores of Longville, MN. Nephews Nathan Eck of Elko, NV; Matthew (Caitlin) Eck of Fargo, ND, and many cousins, family and friends from NJ to FL.[[In-content Ad]]
