Mini-grant opportunity for community organizations
Funds are intended for neighborhood youth or environmental groups; faith-based organizations; civic or citizens' associations; economic development agencies; community gardens; and other similar groups in Cass County to facilitate policy, systems and environmental changes that increase access to, educate on, and/or availability of healthy locally grown foods. Applicants are not required to be incorporated 501(c)3 organizations.
Applicants can apply for up to $5,000. Funding is competitive; not all requests will be funded or may be only partially funded. Requests will be chosen based upon submission of a feasible action plan, grantee's readiness and capacity to implement the action plan, and acceptable budget request. Application deadline is April 19, 2013.
