Michael Lavern Staack, age 66, of Remer, MN passed away peacefully Friday November 16, 2018 with his wife by his side after a 12-year battle with Alzheimer's.

Mike was born in St. Paul, MN. He lived there with his wife and son until June 1990 when they relocated to Remer, MN, where they resided until his death. Mike always had a big smile and sparkling blue eyes. He loved people and could meet someone and talk with them like he knew them forever. Mike repaired cars for all of Remer. He taught many nieces and nephews how to fish.

Mike had the biggest heart and would help anyone with just about any problem or situation. He was the love of Vicki's life and the two were blessed to have each other. Their son is the strong man he is today because of all his dad taught him at a young age.

Mike loved the great outdoors and spent a lot of time fishing or just relaxing and enjoying the beauty in his boat on Thunder Lake. He will be dearly missed by all.

Mike is survived by his wife, Vicki; son, Mike; two grandchildren, Avelina and Jonathan; brother, Lee; sister Marcia (Curt) Stowell; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday December 1, 2018 at the Pub in Remer, MN from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
