The Cass County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is looking for 16 new members to join this summer. Minnesota Business Finance Corporation has offered to help the EDC by matching any new membership investments received this summer.

Minnesota Business Finance Corporation (MBFC) is a certified development organization that provides SBA loans. They know the value of professional business counseling provided by the EDC, such as business planning, cash flow projections and loan packaging. This gets businesses ready for SBA financing. MBFC has been originating SBA 504 loans for small businesses across Minnesota since 1983.

Membership involvement is the key to a successful economic development organization. As the "eyes and ears" of their communities, many new project leads are referred from EDC members. Members provide leadership on the Board of Directors, which will sustain the organization into the future.

The Cass County EDC is a local non-profit corporation with the mission to "Improve the business environment of Cass County by encouraging a strong, diverse and sustainable economy and to build better relationships between business, government agencies and local communities."
