Survived by: Two daughters- Treva Destival of Oelwein IA; Terri (John) Smith of Deer River MN; One son- Marlyn (Ione) Boor of Deer River. 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one brother-Gerald (Dena) Boor of Alden, IA; six sisters- Helen Meyers, Carolyn Hoverstein, Nancy Barnhart of Iowa Falls, Norma(Mike) Alderdyce of Coulter, IA ; Aletha Anderson, Marilyn Venner of Williams, IA; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in Death: By his loving wife Tillie, both of his parents, and two brothers, Jack and Richard.

Visitation: October 17, 2010 Carroll Funeral Home, Deer River, 2-5

Service: October 17, 2010 5pm-following visitation

Burial: Northlawn Memory Gardens, Iowa Falls, IA

Maurice and Tillie will be laid to rest together October 23, 2010 following Maurice's service in Iowa.

Maurice was born May 5th 2010, to James and Reletta Boor in Decatur County Iowa, where he also attended school. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II, as a Cpl in the Airplane Armours (B-17 specialized unit) until he was honorably discharged. On March 17, 1945 he was united in marriage to Tillie May Miller in Engelwood, Colorado. They resided in Iowa until 1967. There he was employed by Viking Pump, John Deere, and farmed. Upon moving to MN he was self employed having various business' in the Remer, Boy River and Federal Dam areas.
