Marlene Therese (Langevin) Saba age 81 of Remer died on May 29, 2017 at her home. She was born on January 16, 1936 in St. Paul to Joseph and Virginia (Bibeau) Langevin. Marlene married Ronald Saba in St. Paul on September 3, 1955.

Family came first. All the family took vacations together "up north" at the family home on Lake Washburn. Marlene was very active in the Council of Catholic Women at her parish, St. Emily's. She served as the Brainerd Deanery President and then as President for the Diocese of Duluth (2007-2009). She was passionate about cooking. Marlene and her husband catered many events over the years. She insisted food had to look as good as it tastes.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Ron of 61 years; one son, Ronald (Anita) Saba Jr. of Brainerd; five daughters, Denise Micheln of Woodbury, Julie Erickson of Red Wing, Janine (Curt) Hill of Warba, Therese (Rudy) Sizemore of Coon Rapids, Margaret Saba of Remer; one brother, Joseph (Pat) Langevin of Ham Lake; one sister Elizabeth (Paul) Harvey of Roberts, WI; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Marlene in death are her parents; one daughter, Patricia; and one sister, Joan Hite.

Funeral Mass will be 11:30 am, Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Emily's Catholic Church in Emily. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.[[In-content Ad]]
