Mark Wayne Johnson, 53, of Longville, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Mark was born July 20, 1958 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to William and Dolly (Bjelland) Johnson, Jr. Following his graduation from Northland High School in Remer he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After his four years of service he was honorably discharged in July of 1980 and returned to Longville where he worked for his family's construction business. Mark was a very talented and intelligent man. He was a self taught computer programmer, and designed several sewer system programs, one of which was used by Cass County.
