Mark Allen Bergerud of Backus, MN was born December 16, 1947, in Everett Washington-passed away September 12, 2017. He was a beloved son, brother, dad, grandfather, friend, teacher, coach and artist. Mark had a present spirit and a gentle soul. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Margaret and Donald Bergerud and his sister Jan Beals (Ed Beals). He is survived by his brother Steve Bergerud (Sandy Schmidt), sister Joyce Raehl (John Raehl), sons Mathew Gustav (mothered by Louise Kneeland) and Ian Bergerud (mothered by Sally Bergerud), daughter Sena Bergerud (mothered by Sally Bergerud), two granddaughters, and much extended family. Services will be held at Kline Funeral Home (Pine River, Minnesota) Saturday, November 18 at 2:00 P.M., with a potluck reception at the Bergerud family home to follow.
