In 1975, Marjorie and her family moved to their lake home in Remer, Minnesota, where she spent many years enjoying sewing, crocheting, crafts, and feeding the birds. And it was there she was passionate about cooking and trying new recipes. Even at 90 years old, she was hosting big family dinners, all the while planning what she was going to serve at the next dinner. Marjorie was generous to a fault when giving to her children and thrifty when it came to herself. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Marjorie is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law: Linda (Steve) Soderholm of Eagle Bend, Janice (Roland) Root of Hibbing, and Susan (Scott) Fowler of Brooklyn Center; two grandchildren Christopher and Curtis Fowler; step-grandson Ryan Soderholm; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister Sharon Braunberger. She will also be greatly missed by Sammy, her cat, who kept her company for the last 15 years.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1998.
Services were held on Thursday, August 16 at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville, Pastor Ralph Erickson officiated. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in Longville. Pallbearers for Marjorie were Ryan Soderholm, Curtis Fowler, Christopher Fowler, Steve Soderholm, Scott Fowler, and Roland Root.
Dennis Funeral Home of Walker is in charge of the arrangements.[[In-content Ad]]
