Marilyn (Zinn) Jewett, age 76, of Remer, MN, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born in 1939 to Howard and Mildred Zinn in Reedsville, WV. Marilyn graduated from Arthurdale/Masontown Valley High School (WV) in 1957. After high school, Marilyn and her twin sister, Carolyn, enlisted in the U.S. Army. Marilyn served six years as a medic within the U.S. and later in Orleans, France where she met Leo Jewett. In 1965, Leo and Marilyn were united in marriage and moved to Fridley and Big Marine eventually building a house in Stacy, MN where they lived for many years. In 1981, they moved to Remer, MN. Marilyn was employed as a health services technician for 16 years at Ah' Gwah Ching in Walker, MN. She enjoyed reading, dining out, traveling, and "discussing" politics. She was also very proud of her West Virginia up-bringing and heritage.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her beloved twin sister, Carolyn Zinn.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 50 years, Leo H. Jewett of Remer, MN; daughters, Wanda (Dave) Mullen of New Hope, MN, Deanna Jewett of Chisholm, MN, Debra (Steve) Richerson of Hill AFB, UT, Carolyn Jewett Daniels of Bemidji, MN; son, Brant (Katie) Jewett of Grand Rapids, MN; and 10 grandchildren that she adored.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at a later date.

The family would especially like to thank the staff at the Veterans Home in Silver Bay, MN for the exceptional care Marilyn received during her final remaining months. She loved them all and always kept them on their toes.
