Longville's Firemen assisting residents

To the Editor,

By Kay Blais, Longville- | Comments: 0 | Leave a comment

It has been a very difficult time for many as we look over all the damage, sadness and problems caused by the recent fierce storms. However, when I heard all Longville's Volunteer Fire Department has done and are still doing, I felt a huge sense of pride (as would Bob as the department was so special to him. He, too, was proud of all they do and have accomplished). With the recent turbulent weather, the fire department was up very early the first morning to open roads for folks who could not have gotten out. They kept right on helping clear yards full of downed trees and damaged buildings. The firemen and their families and friends worked long days, fixing food and trying to make things as good as possible for all involved. And, their good work continues.

I would like to extend my great appreciation to all members of the Longville Volunteer Fire Department. Your assistance is invaluable.

I encourage others to share their gratitude with department members in recognition of their efforts.[[In-content Ad]]
