Longville's Christmas Spirit

By Dennis & Anita Zaske, Longville- | Comments: 0 | Leave a comment

If you stayed home last Saturday (Nov. 25) evening, you missed a Winter Wonderland right here in beautiful downtown Longville. Yes, the sleigh bells were jingling, the fire was cracking, the snow was sparkling as it fell, and neighbors, friends and visitors, young and old alike, were bundled up enjoying each other's company, celebrating the beginning of another Christmas season.

The store owners beautifully decorated their store fronts with lights and trees. The street lights were wrapped in lights as well. We were treated to hot dogs right off the grill, hot cider and hot cocoa.

There were at last three Nativity Scenes lit, reminding us of the real meaning of Christmas. And, as we all gathered together with some of the Community Choir Singers, we sang Silent Night and O Holy Night and realized that the people of Longville are not afraid to remind folks of the true meaning of Christmas.

We are very grateful the Community of Longville and Longville businesses are keeping Christ in Christmas. Merry Christmas.[[In-content Ad]]
