Born January 29, 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Lois moved to Hackensack in 1936 and graduated from Hackensack High School in 1944. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1960. She was a Master Teacher in Boulder, Colorado and Crestline, Ohio, for 33 years until her retirement in the 1990s. She was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol in Colorado and was an aeronautics instructor.
Lois married Edwin O. Bostrom, a life-time resident of Ten Mile Lake, whom she met in the Hackensack Schools. She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Lois Davis (Michael), Holly Anne Bostrom-Deer, and Diane Elisabeth Westmore (Richard); her granddaughters, Robin Jane Davis Perras (Richard), Megan Elizabeth Westmore (Frank Merrill), Katherine Elisabeth Graf (Benjamin McMyler), and Janet Alison Daum (Kevin), and great grandchildren, Jordan Marie Perras, Morgan Nicole Perras, Callum Edwin McMyler, Bevin Elisabeth McMyler, Sofia Patricia Yacobitti-Westmore and Miranda Adele Merrill.
A memorial service will be held at The Hub in Hackensack, Minnesota, 213 First Street, Hackensack, MN 56452, at 11:00 on Saturday, August 12, 2017.
