REMER - Lois J. Peterson, age 77 of Remer, Minn., passed away peacefully at Deer River Health Care Center on Saturday, November 26, 2011. She was born on May 9, 1934 in Minneapolis, Minn., to Carl and Martha Anderson and grew up in Forest Lake, Minn. Lois worked as a bookkeeper in banking until retiring from the Woodland Bank in Remer and was clerk for Lima Township for many years. She loved gardening and cooking lutefisk for her family on Christmas Eve. Lois was a long time member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Remer.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers Donald and Robert; two sisters, Gwen and Shirley.

Lois is survived by two sons, Ray and Ken Peterson and one sister, Beatrice Peterson all of Remer.

Memorials are preferred to the Bethany Lutheran Church in Remer, MN in Lois's memory.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 1 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church in Remer. Pastor Dale Degner will officiate. A private burial will be in the spring.
