Faith in Action for Cass County gives adults of all ages the opportunity to volunteer their time and abilities to help individuals and families in need in and around their community.

Working closely in partnership with many organizations, programs, and service providers, Faith in Action can connect you with a volunteer experience that matches your time and talents. Whether it is driving, mentoring kids, scheduling fishing trips, delivering meals, planning senior activities or visiting with someone who doesn't get out much, Faith in Action can help you in your quest to serve others.

Programs such as Kinship, Let's Go Fishing, LSS Caregiver Support, Meals on Wheels, Senior Companion and Senior Grandparent, Senior Transportation, TRIAD, community centers, senior centers, thrift stores, co-ops, food shelves, and chambers of commerce all rely on volunteers to take their mission and vision of service and make things happen.

These volunteers share a sense of compassion and a desire to do what they can to make life better for everyone. Volunteers give thousands of hours for the good of their communities and a lot of things wouldn't happen without their involvement. Volunteers bring a large return on investment in rural Minnesota communities, annually contributing an estimated $3.6 billion in volunteer hours, according to a recent MAVA publication. Volunteer service is rewarding and can be loads of fun. There is something in it for everyone.

Faith in Action for Cass County is a volunteer nonprofit program that serves the elderly, disabled, and folks who need a little neighborly help from time to time. Faith in Action volunteers primarily offer transportation, light homemaking and chores, home repair, friendly visiting, respite care, and ramp building. As part of the greater volunteer community, Faith in Action staff are happy to provide information and referral and to direct you to other volunteer programs that could be a better fit.
