Laurence "Larry" Probst, age 79, of Remer, MN passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019. He was born in 1939 to Louis and Alice Probst in Brainerd, MN.

Larry was part owner of a sawmill in Marcell, MN and later owned a sawmill with his wife Judy in Remer, MN where they resided for many years. Larry was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of a country western band for many years, a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Remer, MN and later a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cohasset, MN. He was a kind-hearted, loving father, grandfather, and a wonderful husband to his wife Judy.

Preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Alice Probst; sisters, Agnes, Gertrude, Donna; brothers, Wallace, Warren, Marvin; and stepson, Jim.

Larry is survived by his wife Judy; children, Ross (Mae) Probst, Joyce (Tim) Goad, Karl, Doug, Jody (Jerry) Kaczor, Lisa Kotula (Bill Miskovich), Darrin (Holli), Jason (Kristine), Tyler (Susan) Busching, sisters, Ruth, Grace, Evelyn, Shirley, Barbara; 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and godson, Aaron Dormanen.

A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Remer, MN with a memorial service beginning at 2:30 P.M. and a luncheon and visitation to follow from 3:00 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. A private graveside service with military honors will be at Fairview Cemetery in Remer, MN.
