Larry A. Hare, age 86, of Remer, MN, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017, at Grand Itasca Hospital. Larry was born in 1931 in Fillmore Township, MN to Robert and Iva Hare. Larry was self-employed in logging in Minnesota and Montana, a carpenter where he built and sold homes and bought and sold cattle and horses.

On October 6, 1951 Larry was united in marriage to Lorraine Nyhous and had 6 children. Larry enjoyed deer hunting, restoring old trucks and tractors, working in his shop, making crafts out of farming equipment, woodworking. Larry also loved auction sales, traveling with his wife Lorraine to Texas, Idaho and Missouri to visit their kids and families.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife of 64 years, Lorraine; sons, Bruce and Steve; son-in-law, Jim Spiering; 2 sisters, Alda Godfrey and LaVaughn Harmon; 2 brothers, Herald Hare and Mervyn Hare.

Larry is survived by his children; daughters, Gail (Dick) Martin, Shirley (John) Cook, Peggy Spiering and Connie (Richard) Harwood; brothers, Donovan Hare and Albert (Jeanette) Hare.

Visitation will be Friday, December 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. continuing until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remer, MN. Pastor Dale Degner will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Remer, MN.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers please.
