The Cass Lake Panthers paid a visit to the friendly confines of Northland High School Monday night and left for home with a 69-52 loss to the Lady Eagles.
"My back line really dominated the boards tonight. We've been working hard not to give up second shots, I'm proud of their consistent effort," stated Head Coach Jenny Kovall.
A pair of Lady Eagles ended the night with double-double efforts. Abby Burch led the girls with 19 points and a dominating 20 boards. Nakina Gross finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds and four steals on defense. Followed by Kori Dunham with 16 points and five take-aways. Lizzie Procopio chipped in 11 rebounds.
The girls continued their winning ways Thursday night as they traveled to Laporte to hand them a 79-38 drumming.
"Kori is being a great team leader right now and is playing great as well, Chloe (Wolske) was solid on defense and Abby has had a terrific stretch the last couple of weeks, it has been fun to see her fulfill her potential! The team has really begun to click and play with much more confidence," praised Coach Kovall.
