Lady Eagles top Panthers behind Wolske's 27 points
Chloe Wolske led the offensive charge with 27 points and five rebounds with four steals, followed by Maddie Shepard with 15 points. Angie Rajdl brought down eight boards and Kristine Johnson had 10 take-aways.
"We were able to come back with some great defensive effort and our up-front pressure was excellent," commented Head Coach Jenny Kovall.
Monday found the girls hosting an experienced, senior heavy McGregor squad. Kali Wake put in 19 points and brought down nine boards, but it was not enough to topple the Merc's and the Ladies came up on the short end of a 49-77 final score.
"We did a lot of positive things, but we aren't at their (McGregor) level yet. Our shooting from the field has improved a great deal, these girls always work hard until the final buzzer.
We're half way through the season and I'm seeing a much improved team from earlier in the season. It's what we're striving for," said Coach Kovall.
Wolske put in eight points for the Lady Eagles, and Rajdl and Keyanna Gross each added six.
On Thursday, the girls head east to take on East Central and on Feb. 3, WHA will pay a visit to Remer.[[In-content Ad]]
