The Northland Eagles are heading down the home stretch of the 2016-'17 season. Senior Cooper Kovall entered the Feb. 17 game against Hill City needing just a handful of buckets to top 1000 career points. Averaging a double-double every game for the season, Kovall managed 36 points and 14 rebounds against the Hornets, securing his milestone.

The boys took the lead and kept Hill City in the rear view mirror, finishing off the Hornets 84-71.

Zain Myers and Zach Greene each added 19 points to the cause while Cameron Wake added seven.

The following night the boys were on the road to Ogilve. With the offense hitting on all cylinders, the boys had little trouble dispatching the Lions 73-63.

Greene took the lead scoring with 25 points and seven rebounds. Kovall followed with 18 points and 14 rebounds and Myers added 18 points with six boards.[[In-content Ad]]
