Ken was born to Sohpus and Ellenora (Johansen) Colstrup, in Albert Lea, Minn., where he attended school and worked until his retirement on Lake Inguadona. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force.
Ken loved his family, friends, neighbors, fishing, and lived his life-long dream of retiring on a lake in northern Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maxine (Van Horn) Colstrup; son, Scott Kolstrup, of Remer, Minn.; daughter, Julie (Terry) Stahl, of Albert Lea; three grandchildren, Andrea Colstrup, Christopher Stahl and Tyler Stahl; sister, Shirley Berg, of Scarville, Iowa; and two brothers, Earl (Rosemary) Colstrup and Dennis (Carol) Colstrup, both of Albert Lea; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Albert (Bud) Colstrup, of Albert Lea; one brother-in-law, Harvey Berg; and one sister-in-law, Opal Colstrup.
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Ridgewood Golf Course, in Longville.
