Jump start spring with Bone Builders
To the Editor:
Bone Builders is an exercise program that incorporates strength training, balance training, stretching and fun into one hour, twice weekly exercise sessions. There are also discussions about fall prevention, heart health and proper diet. This program is designed to prevent and reverse osteoporosis, improve balance, enhance energy and well-being, increase socialization and provide senior friendly health information.
These sessions are lead by trained volunteers and are available in two locations. One group meets at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 9 a.m., Contact Tal Hess at (218) 363-2282 or Jackie Lorensen at 363-2281 for more information.
The second group meets at the Woodrow Township Hall at 10 a.m., on Tuesday and Friday. Contact Laura Hanson at 682-2045 or Linda Paulsen at 682-2104 for information at that site.
In the United States one in three seniors over the age of 65 will fall at least once this year. Let's decrease that risk. Join us for some moderate exercise, companionship and laughter.[[In-content Ad]]
