Judith E. Ottem, age 82, of Baxter, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at St Joseph's - Essentia Health.

Judy was born on June 26, 1934 in Minneapolis to Melvin & Florence (Kraul) Olson. She married the love of her life, Dennis Ottem on May 15, 1954. Together they had 3 sons. Judy worked as Vice President of the Blaine State Bank for 25+ years. After retirement, Judy & Dennis raised cattle, north of Remer for 15 years. Judy was a member of the Northland Lions. She enjoyed her huge garden and mowing the lawn. She had her very own John Deere Tractor. Judy also loved listening to her boys play music.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Dennis; sons: Martin (Kathy) of Madison, WI and Darren of Ironton; brother, Warren "Buck" (Gloria) Olson of Vallejo, CA; grandson, Steven(Candice) Ottem of Coon Rapids; great grandson, Konnar (and one on the way).

Judy is preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service remembering Judy was held Monday, February 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home - Brainerd Chapel. Interment will be at the Minnesota State Cemetery. www.halvorson-johnson.com[[In-content Ad]]
