Joseph Donald Lemieux, age 68, Remer, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Comstock Nursing Home.

Joe was born on May 5, 1948 in Walker to Samuel and Vera Lemieux. He lived a short time in Michigan with his parents until his father's death. He then moved back to Minnesota with his mother to Boy River. The last 8 years of his life he lived in Remer with his wife Debbie.

Joe worked hard his entire life. He held a series of jobs that range from an iron ore ship worker to pipeline worker to mill worker.

He loved the race track and spent a great amount of his life involved in it one way or another.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Lemieux; Son, Sam Lemieux; daughter, Carrie Lemieux; daughter-in-law, Marie Lemieux; son-in-law, Butch Morlan; granddaughter, Ashley Lemiux (Carrie); granddaughter, Abby Morris (Carrie);step grandson, Christian Morlan (Carrie); step grandson, Mike Mergen (Sam) and step granddaughter, Amelia Morlan (Carrie).

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Lemieux; father, Samuel Lemieux and grandmother, Ruth Whitted.

Services were held July 16 at the Harvest Church of God in Remer.[[In-content Ad]]
