The Itasca Moraine Chapter has scheduled a 5.2 mile Father's Day hike on Sunday, June 17.

Hikers are to meet at the North Country Trail (NCT) kiosk/parking lot at the intersection of State Hwy. 64 and East Steamboat Forest Rd., 4 miles north of Akeley. The hike will commence at 1 p.m., and ends at Akeley Cutoff Forest Rd. northwest of Akeley.

The hike will feature large erratic rocks, mixed hardwood and conifer forests, conifer plantations, and magnificent viewscapes across the valleys of the Paul Bunyan State Forest. Hikers are given rides back to their cars at the conclusion of the hike.
