Howard Allen Prushek age 76 of Remer, MN died on December 2, 2015 as a result of an accident. He was born on April 2, 1939 in Brainerd, MN to Adolph and Edna Ruby (Guida) Prushek.

He received his teaching degree from St. Cloud State University. He was a retired teacher serving the Aitkin, Crosby-Ironton and Northland Community School Districts. He was the presiding mayor of Remer. He was a member of the Emily United Methodist Church and a local organist. He is also a member of the Remer Area Lions Club, Farm Bureau, and White Oaks Antique Track Club. He is a former Perry Lake Township and Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Board Member. Howard participated in many civic and community events.

He survived by one nephew, Alan Prushek, Sauk Rapids, MN; one niece, Lori (Carl) Larson, Lowry, MN; three great nieces.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dale Prushek.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Northland Community School in Remer. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 6 pm at the Emily United Methodist in Emily. Arrangements are with Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.[[In-content Ad]]
