"I feel that we are seeing some great overall team improvement and it feels good as a coach to see that what we're teaching is paying dividends. The girls showed lots of hustle and heart this week," stated Head Coach Jenny Kovall.
Dunham and Burch combined for 29 points each and accounted for 58 of the Lady Eagles 68 points. Burch led on the boards with 16, followed by Lizzie Procopio with 13 and Nakina Gross with seven. Burch went 7 for 16 from the field and 13 for 18 from the charity stripe, Dunham went 10 for 25 and 7 for 11 respectively.[[In-content Ad]]Shooting hands did not cool off Monday night as the girls cruised to a 63-51 victory against Park Rapids. Again it was the Burch and Dunham show with Abby posting 30 points and 16 rebounds and Kori adding 15 points and five steals. Procopio blocked out for 13 boards and Gross followed with seven.
"This was an outstanding performance by Burch, back to back games with 29 then 30 points! The girls played another great team game, Dunham had some nice plays in transition and Makendra (Anderson) and Angie (Rajdl) stepped up and played well. Unfortunatly Chloe (Wolske) had to sit most of this victory out with foul trouble," said Coach Kovall.
